Due to increasing pressure on land for growing food grains, adequate attention has not been given to the production of fodder crops. The issue of high concern is the availability of green fodder throughout the year, Ayurvet hydroponics machine is designed for Indian conditions, it is compact, easily transportable, and adjustable according to crop. Hydroponics Fodder produced in this system is nutritive, palatable, contamination free and Improves Animal health and Productivity. Superior to conventional fodder,Hydroponics’ fodder is almost a complete feed as we can replace part of the grain in compound feed given to animal. The Hydroponics’ fodder consists of root fibers, shoot fibers and grain.

This technology offers whole lot of benefits & were appreciated by the jury.

  • Saving of land : 1000 Kg hydroponics fodder requires 300 sq feet area only against 2,700 sq feet for conventional fodder.
  • Saving of water : Production of 1 Kg fodder requires 3 liters of water against 80 liters/kg of conventional fodder.
  • Saving of time : Hydroponics green fodder can be harvested on every 7th day in comparison to harvesting of conventional green fodder at 30-45 days.
  • Constant Feed supply : Hydroponics fodder can be harvested for 365-7=359 days in a year which conventional fodder available only for few months.

All this would mean Healthy Animals for Better Productivity leading to farmer prosperity. This is the vision which we all share at Ayurvet.
